I also started reading the "Sookie Stackhouse" series. I burned through the first two chapters and it's pretty entertaining. I was worried that it was going to be classic damsel is in love and in danger, but Sookie is pretty badass and violent at times which is great. Ha.
Recreational reading is great because a) it's a great way to escape, b) sometimes you stumble on things that can really help you, and c) it motivates me to do my work. Inward dialogue with myself: "okay, so I just spend that time reading for no reason. Now it's time to be productive so I can read more later."
Basically what I'm trying to say is I love reading.
Here's an InDesign screen shot of a potential silhouette-direction page out of my book, which also reveals that I have way too many programs open at once. Jeez.
Burberry sure knows how to drape clothing, eh? I'm aiming for some haphazard layering, complex draping, layers of raw edges, and a kind of slip-nightgowny feel of sheer beautifulness. Will I be able to pull it off? Only time will tell.
